With our new EP Explorations we looked to push the status quo. While still remaining in the domain of house music, each track is very unique and tells a story of its own. It feels only fitting that it be started off by FaderX’s ‘The Arrival’! You immediately feel as though you have been venturing through space and you are nearing your destination! Starting off with a deep and mysterious ambiance, the chords and the rapid movement of the melody create an immense suspense. Then as it climaxes we gently slide into a soft future trance drop which carries you along as you float amongst the stars. Fast forward we are orbiting the Earth and Jerome Price’s ‘Eurasia’ is all that can be heard. Much like the world it is a complex masterpiece, with sounds from everywhere. Percussion from Africa, uplifting tribal chants, deep powerful bass, with melody from outer space. It creates an unparalleled sensory experience. Finally you touch down on Earth, you feel the warm embrace of Robbie Mendez’s ‘Mirror’. First the piano with happy chords and slightly melancholic vocal, fills you with warmth. Then suspense begins to build and as the drop hits, it brings with it a sweet darkness, almost like a memory of that time amongst the stars.
