Rescue Me
It starts off sounding like a ballad, Bertie Scott’s voice gently matches the melancholic chords creating a joyous yet mysterious ambiance. Then a subtle kick starts, and a bouncy melody begins to make an appearance from behind the scenes. Then the kick disappears as abruptly as it came, however from the vacuum you can feel the energy of the song begin to stir. As the saying goes, the sea is always calmest before the storm. Bertie Scott’s voice is brought all the way to the front as he sings ‘won’t you, rescue me’! once again placed upon the chords. However now the melody and the buildup make themselves felt, in the foreground. Then just before the drop a moment of absolute silence, and then Dastic descends with a powerful Future bounce drop. The bassline, kick, melody, and vocal, all mesh together perfectly to create what surely would have been a mainstage favourite!
