MOTi starts way down low, with a deep bass that echoes from left to right on every note. Then Mingues’ high pitch vocals are the perfect juxtaposition, creating that perfect balance between high and low. As the kick starts, the energy begins to build, then the rhythm and emotion of the chords brings you out of the dark feeling which you thought was going to persist throughout the song. Then as MOTi finally drops it on us, it’s an unsuspecting combination of deep house and summer bundled up into one. With your eyes closed, you can easily imagine yourself being on a beach, soaking in the sun whilst sipping your favourite drink!
